Warming up in the 14-degree weather with a routine hosted by Crunch gyms instructors.

After a 15-minute delay waiting for police clearance, runners are off with a starting horn from Santa Claus.

Mark Kosiek, Ken Traisman and Becky Traisman run along the Chicago River. Becky and her dad, Ken, finished together in 25:00.

Terice Gadsen, 26, crosses the Chicago River as he heads into the last 100 meters. He finished in 21:48.

"I'm getting emotional because she's running for me," says Tracey Gibson-Jackson as she cheers on her friend Qiana Green. "She's been training so hard for this."

Lewis Biscamp, 35, finished in 21:53.

Scott Irvine, 43, heads toward a 21:05 finish.

Jeff Hojnacki, 32, wins in 16:37, nearly one minute ahead of second- place Jason Glowney, 36 (17:28).

Tera Moody, 25, took third place overall and first for the women with a time of 18:37.
