9-25-05 Chicago Half Marathon - Photo Gallery (Chicago, IL)

1. At the 9th annual Chicago Half Marathon, more than 9,000 runners took to the streets of Jackson Park and South Lake Shore Drive, marking a 33 percent increase in participation over the previous year.

2. Chicago's Jeremy Borling pulled away from fellow Chicagoans Cameron Stuber and Chris Wehrman to win the overall title in 1:10:16.

3. Women's champion Courtney Babcock-Key was in town visiting her husband's family in Lake Bluff. The Canadian native, who represented Canada in the 2004 Olympic Games, won with a time of 1:18:05.

4. On their way to the finish, Pattie Messmer from Ft. Wright, KY, who finished in 1:50:22, leads home Cindy Bryk of Chicago, whose final time was 1:50:46.

5. The top three men's finishers, Cameron Stuber (1:11:00), Jeremy Borling (1:10:16) and Chris Wehrman (1:11:49), group together while the rain fell on Jackson Park.

6. Chicago's Kassey Wagner (#11363) finishes with good form in 1:50:11.

7. Those who braved the weather, which was raining on and off, were treated to a post-race concert on the museum lawn, featuring the Beatles Tribute Band, British Export.
