1. Tinley Park's Jeff Jonaitis, 24, met little opposition over the last couple miles, other than the wind and the cold, to take the overall title in 51:17.

2. In addition to pocketing $500 for first place, Jackson, WI's Dot McMahan, 28, collected an additional $100 for breaking Jenny Spangler's course record (1:00:15 in 2003) with a time of 59:23.

3. Jim Akita, 24, of Elmhurst, finished runner-up in the men's race with a time of 51:36.

4. Jessica Bliss, 25, of Merrillville, IN, finished strong to take second in the women's race, clocking 1:01:02.

4. Milwaukee's Matt Thull, 30, winner of the past two Lakefront 10s, slipped to third this year in 52:51.

5. Universal Sole teammates Molly Sunderlin, 26, (right) and Kim Hemstreet, 24, finished neck-and-neck to take third and fourth, respectively, in 1:01:36 and 1:01:37.

6. Milwaukee's Kyle Moss, 38, finished one spot out of the money in fourth, with a time of 54:35.

7. The inaugural Lakefront 5K debuted with more than 130 finishers, including overall winners Chris Wolf, 31, of Chicago in 16:42, and Kim Anderson, 31, of Evanston in 21:16.
