Scenic 10 Mile - Photo Gallery (Park Forest, IL)
September 7, 2004

2. Milwaukee's Matt Thull (#12) shot out to an early lead and held on to finish as the top American in 51:01, good for 11th place.

4. Andrew Duncan, 37, from Las Vegas, NV, broke the tape in the men's 5K in 17:04.

5. Julius Kiptoo, 27, a Kenyan training in Westchester, PA, conquered the humidity and a deep, competitive field to win in 48:01.

6. Fifth and sixth place finishers Ronald Mogaka (49:18) and Charles Ndereba (49:20) pass one of several unique musical acts that lined the course as they head into the final stretch.

7. Japan's Yasuko Hashimoto, 29, was the women's champion in 55:40. She will be back in town to race The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon on October 10.

8. Lake Villa's Jenny Spangler, 41, was the second overall woman, setting a national age-group record with her time of 56:56.
