1. Chicago's Chris Wehrman, 29, posted the day's fastest time, winning Fleet Feet's Ravenswood 5K in 15:47.

2. Laura Seims, 33, of Great Lakes, won a closely contested women's race, ducking under the 18-minute barrier with a time of 17:58.

3. Chicago's Luis Samayoa, 24, was right on Wehrman's heels, finishing second overall in 15:49.

4. Megan Levin, 35, of Glenview, grabbed second place in the women's race, finishing in 18:07.

5. Wheaton's Todd Moxley, 41, ran well to take third place overall, with a time of 16:17.

6. A hard-charging Lisa Menninger, 40, of LaGrange, took the third spot in the women's race in 18:10.

7. Most of the runners had to dig back into their winter running wardrobes for the chilly weather . . . . hopefully for the last time this Spring!

8. But there was comfort to be found at the finish line, whether it was a massage for cold, tight muscles, warm clothes or food at the post race party.
