2. Chicago's Donnie Franzen, 26, was the top overall finisher, cruising the lakefront course in 52:41, and earning the title of USATF- Illinois 10-Mile Champion.

3. Morton Grove's Dorothy Gach, 33, took home the women's title and the USATF-Illinois 10-Mile Championship in a time of 1:03:41.

4. In total, more than 2,600 runners kicked off Memorial Day Weekend with the 10-mile run, and were treated to a near-perfect spring morning.

5. The Soldier Field 10-Mile offers runners a chance to fulfill a fantasy---running out through the stadium tunnel and onto the football field, watching themselves on the jumbo-tron and finishing on the 50-yard-line.

6. The top three men's finishers, from left to right: Jeremy Borling of Chicago (55:05), Greg Costello of Riverwoods (54:22) and Donnie Franzen.

7. The top three women's finishers, from left to right: Stella Schulte of Chicago (1:07:50), Dorothy Gach and Kimberly Weidman of Chicago (1:06:35).

8. The crew from Equinox was on hand to limber up participants after the race so they wouldn't have to limp around for the remainder of the holiday weekend.

9. Fleet Feet's Sabra Bederka enjoys a cup of Stewart's coffee before the runner's get back into the stadium.
