Twin Cities Marathon Over Half Full

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (May 11, 2000) - Registration for the 19th running
of the Twin Cities Marathon on October 8th is over half full with 4,668
people registered (out of a field of 8,000) as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday,
May 10th. Online registration closed on Friday, May 12th by 11:59 p.m.
or at 4,500 registrants (whichever comes first) to allow time for mail-in
entries to come in. Race officials encourage runners to send in their
entries as soon as possible, since the Marathon is on track to close at
its earliest date in the race's history.

for online registration availability, or send a self-addressed, stamped
envelope to Twin Cities Marathon, 2925 Dean Parkway, Suite 110,
Minneapolis, MN 55416. To pick up a registration form in person, stop
by the office in the Calhoun Beach Club or check with local running
stores and health clubs.
In addition to the marathon, a three-day fitness celebration is
planned, including a Health and Fitness Expo, pasta dinner, Saturday 5K
Fun Run/Walk, Kid's One-Mile Fun Run, Kid's Half Mile Fun Run, Toddler
Trot and Diaper Dash and 10 Mile race before the marathon on Sunday.
