    Whether you're a dedicated cross-country racer or prefer downhill
and snowboarding, this show's for you.  The Chicago Ski & Snowboard Show
is set for the Rosemont Convention Center from Thursday night through
Sunday.  Hours are 6-10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, noon to 10 p.m. on
Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
    This is the place to be to find out what's happening in skiing.
Equipment manufactuers and popular desitnations will be represented by
more than 200 exhibitors.  Highlights will include the annual ski swap
and a larger cross-country presence than in recent years.
     The new sport of mountain boarding also will be demonstrated.  It
is a cross between skateboarding and snowboarding.
     Admission is $8 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12.  For
