JPChase Corporate Challenge Qualifier Rescheduled for Serious Teams Only on Sept. 6

The top corporate running teams in Chicago interested in earning a spot in the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Championships will have their chance to qualify on Sept. 6.

The regularly scheduled 2001 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge on Aug. 9 was cancelled because of heat and humidity. A streamlined Championship Qualifier has been planned, however, for Thursday, Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. in Grant Park to accommodate the top Chicago-area corporate running teams.

The 3.5-mile event will start and finish at Arvey Field, at the corner of Roosevelt and Columbus. The race will be held entirely within the confines of Grant Park.

All companies that placed men's, women's and coed teams in the top 20 at the 2000 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge in Chicago will be contacted and invited to participate in the Championship Qualifier. Any other companies interested in participating can call Lakeshore Athletic Services at 773-777-9000. Companies should note that this is is an event designed for the competitive corporate runners.

The winning teams at the Championship Qualifier will advance to the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Championships in New York on Saturday, Oct. 6.
