Green-clad runners celebrated in style at the St. Paddy's Day 5K Sunday. Runners wore kilts, green capes, and beer-dispensing hats for the race, which benefited Friends of Alcott School.

It was a sunny, crisp morning for the 1,000 participants lined up at Diversey Harbor. The clear skies made for spectacular views of the Chicago skyline along the lakefront route. Leprechaun Leap kids races took place after the 5K for children 10 and under.

Mikhail Davidyan won in 15:30. Jessica Langford was the first-place woman with a time of 18:24. Prizes were also awarded for best costume.
