Your nose will be red, merry and bright after the Rudolph Ramble 8K in
Chicago's Lincoln Park on Dec. 10. More than 1,000 people participated
last year in the snowy race on the Lakefront Path.
The 8K race and walk begins at 9 a.m. on the Lakefront Path east of
Cannon Drive and north of Fullerton. The Donner Dashes for kids 2
through 12 begin at 10 a.m.
Race day registration is open at 7 a.m. and closes 15 minutes before
the start of the event. Race day registration is $35 cash only for the 8K
run/walk or $15 cash only for the Donner Dash. Packet pickup is at Fleet
Feet Sports (
www.fleetfeetchicago.com) or at the race beginning at 7 a.m.
All runners receive a technical longsleeve shirt. The race is
ChampionChip timed, and results will be available at www.chicagoaa.com after
the race.
The race benefits Children's Memorial Hospital. All participants are
encouraged to bring a new toy worth $10 or more to the race to donate
to the hospital. Last year, the race donated more than 2,000 toys.
