Need a coach to get you on track?

Running Away, 1753 N. Damen, Chicago, will introduce its new Coached Runnng Program at an informal meeting in the Bucktown store at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16.

The new program will be coached by Chris Nemeth. Medical advisor will be Dr. Terry Nicola. Both are well-known on the Chicago running scene.

Nemeth, nationally ranked in his age group at the marathon distance, previously has coached the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training and the Chicago Running Company. He has run 31 marathons, with a personal best of 2:41, and is a very competitive runner on the Chicago Area Runners Association Race Circuit.

Nicola, also an avid runner, is Director of Sports Medicine Rehablitation at the University of Illnois Sports Medicine Center in Chicago.

According to Running Away owner Paul Rosenblum, the program is for everyone, beginners through veterans. It will cover distances from the 5K through the full marathon with training taking place at various venues throughout the area. Emphasis will be on personal goal-setting, coaching assistance, tutorials, seminars and more, Rosenblum said.
