Runner's Edge Celebrates Its Move to Bigger Space With 'Edge to Edge 1K' on June 2
May 29, 2002
Chicago Athlete

The Runner's Edge in Wilmette has moved to its new, larger location at 335 Ridge in the North Shore suburb. To mark the occasion, The Runner's Edge will host "The Runner's Edge to Edge 1K" at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 2.

Edge to Edge participants will start at the prevous Runner's Edge location at 1211 Wilmette Ave., and run to the new store, a distance of approximately three-quarters of a mile. After the race, runners can visit a runners expo in the new store's parking lot. Raffle and prizes will be part of the festivities, which will include running-related vendors as well as local businesses in the Wilmette area.

The new Runner's edge has 2,000 square feet of space on the sales floor, an increase of 700 square feet for the old location.

Owned by Bob Klein and Nancy Schultz, Runner's Edge hours are as follows: Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; Friday, 10-6; Saturday, 9:30-5; Sunday, noon-4.
