The 24th annual Skokie Spirit Runs are set for Sunday
morning, Oct. 27, at Rush North Shore Mecical Center, 9600
Gross Point Road, Skokie. Open to runners, walkers and families, the 2002 event will
include a 5K run (8:30 a.m.), 10K run (8:35 a.m.) and a fun
walk
(8:40 a.m.) .
Entry is $20 for adults and $10 for kids 13 and under.
This includes
entry in a raffle for a pair of round-trip tickets donated by
American
Airlines to any destination in the continental U.S.
The Skokie Spirit is a USATF-certified and Chicago Area
Runners Association-registered race. There is a $1
discount for CARA members. Awards will be given to the
tgop three in 14 age groups for males and females in the
5K and 10K.
Individuals, as well as corporate, family or school teams,
are encouraged to race.
The event is staged by Rush North Shore, which is
committed to providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered
health care for the community it serves.
