ABD Cycle Club Sets Time Trial Series for 2004
November 25, 2003
From press release

New Fifth Race Is March 27 at Subaru Bike Show on Navy Pier
The ABD Cycle Club, based in west suburban Winfield, has announced it will be holding its fifth annual Indoor Time Trial Series in 2004. Each race is a 10-kilometer event in which participants attach their own bicycle to a stationary, computer-controlled trainer.

The series kicks off on Jan. 11, and the first four events (Jan. 11, Feb. 1 & 22 and March 2) will be held at the Wheaton Park District's Sports Center in Wheaton.

A new fifth indoor event will be held at the Subaru Chicago Bike Show on Navy Pier on March 27. All participants will receive a free day pass to the show.

The series wraps up with the John Fraser Memorial outdoor 10-mile time trial on April 4 in Maple Park. All events feature daily raffles and prizes. There are also overall series prizes in various categories.

The series is open to the public and provides a great opportunity for participants to track their fitness improvements against their own times as well as other competitors. Past participants have included riders from 8 to 78 years old, and beginners to the country's top amateurs.

Registration is now open. For more information go to www.prairiepathcylces.com, or call 630-665-4872.
