Bokoo Bikes Brings Cycling Products to Marshall Field's State Street Store
March 1, 2003
From press release.

Note: Per store officials, this is open!

CHICAGO (Feb. 24, 2003) -- Serious bike enthusiasts with a passion for pedaling can find the latest, high-performance bikes and accessories at Marshall Field's flagship store on State Street with the addition of Bokoo Bikes on the main floor in March. The opening at Marshall Field's marks the first expansion for Bokoo Bikes, a nationally recognized retailer in the cycling industry, and their first store within a retailer.

The 600-square-foot boutique at Marshall Field's will house the latest product offerings from leading cycling manufacturers including Trek, Gary Fisher, LeMond, Bontrager and Nike. Bokoo Bikes will feature a variety of bike models ranging in price from approximately $500 to $5,000, including the hard-to-find Lance Armstrong edition Trek Madone 5.9.

"Our guests are looking for an extraordinary store where they can find fun and differentiated merchandise," said Ralph Hughes, Marshall Field's regional director. "Bokoo Bikes gives our guests another exciting reason to shop at Marshall Field's."

The assortment at Marshall Field's will also feature a wide variety of cycling related accessories; Trek folding, trekking and commuter bikes; road bikes from Trek and LeMond; and a complete line of Nike cycling apparel and footwear including Lance Armstrong edition road shoes. Bokoo Bikes can identify the right type of bike and fit for guests with a new computerized fitting system that gathers precise measurements for maximum efficiency and comfort.

"Bokoo Bikes is excited to offer the latest cycling products as well as our cycling expertise at Marshall Field's," said Matt Johnson, general manager for Bokoo Bikes. "Not only will guests find everything they need to be outfitted from head to toe, Bokoo Bikes will also fully assemble, fine-tune and customize bikes to ensure trouble free riding."

Bokoo Bikes is a Minnesota-based bicycle retailer. For more information, check out www.bokoobikes.com.
