ABD Cycling Club Launches Program for Women
on December 8 & 13
The ABD Cycling Club is starting a developmental competitive cycling program for women. The goal of the program is to create opportunities for anyone interested in pursuing the sport through educational seminars, coaching, indoor/outdoor training sessions, group rides, and training races created for women. No previous experience is necessary. The seminars are open for anyone interested in attending. It will be at 7 p.m. the Winfield Community Bank 27W111 Geneva Rd. Winfield and then there will be another meeting on Monday, December 13 at 7 p.m. at Neybours Bar & Grill, 3651 N. Southport in Chicago.

XXX Racing-AthletiCo Meeting on How to Promote Women's Bicycle Racing on December 9
XXX Racing-AthletiCo invites racers, officials, sponsors, coaches, and team managers to meet on Thursday, December 9, at 7 p.m. at the Handlebar Bar & Grill, 2311 W. North Ave. The group will discuss ways to raise the profile of women in competitive cycling. The group's relatively new Women's Development Program has increased female participation from 7 women to 20 women in the past year with weekly women's rides, a series of speakers, and increased attendance at races. All interested in supporting women's racing are welcome to attend.
