Twin brothers Jorge and Edwardo Torres, who have achieved running greatness from their days at Wheeling High School right through their senior years at the University of Colorado, not to mention high-profile international competition here and abroad, have signed professional contracts with Reebok. The multiyear deal keeps the twins together for their post-collegiate years. "It's a dream come true for Edwardo and me to be sponsored by Reebok," Jorge Torres said. The Albank 5K, scheduled for Oct. 19, has been canceled for this year. This popular Chicago race offered prize money and attracted top runners. It will be missed and we hope to see it back on the schedule next year.

Here's a belated congratulations to masters runner Mike Egle, who placed in three events at the recent World Masters Athletics competition in Puerto Rico. He took bronze medals in the 8K cross-country, 800-meter and 1,500-meter runs.

THE ANSWER
Congratulations to Bill Anders of Elmhurst for being the first to answer last week's four-part trivia question. We asked who the Galloping Ghost was, where he went to high school, where he went to college and what number he wore. The answers: Red Grange, Wheaton, University of Illinois, No. 77. Thanks to all who responded. Bill will be receiving a brand new Chicago Athlete T-shirt.
