THE SCOOP
Not really under the radar but close . . . Kenyan Joseph
Kahugu has shown
up at two local road races lately, winning the Taking Strides
for Youth 5K
in LaGrange on June 8 in 14:31 and the San Juan 8K in
Chicago on June 15
in 24:27. Kahugu, based in Homewood, is still recovering
from a 2:10:06
third-place finish at the Rock 'n' Roll marathon in San Diego
on June 1.
Looks like a speedy recovery.
