QUOTE
"I knew the day I started swimming that this was going to be the passion
of my
life."---Two-time Olympian and gold medalist Rowdy Gaines, at the
Toyota Masters
Swim Clinic at UIC this past Tuesday. Gaines recalled how he tried
almost every
high school sport and got cut from the teams before he decided to try out
for the
swim team---at age 17. About 100 swimmers attended the clinic led by
Gaines and
four-time Olympian Dara Torres.
