Subaru Chicago Bike Show . . . .
More than 13,000 people packed Navy Pier at the Subaru Chicago
Bike Show.
Between major cycling manufacturer's shiny new products, local
bike shops And clubs, extreme stunt shows, informational
seminars and a closeout center full of cycling equipment and
gear, there was fun for adults and children alike.

The LaSalle Bank Shamrock Shuffle . . . .
More than 19,000 runners and walkers completed the 25th
Anniversary edition of The LaSalle Bank Shamrock Shuffle, the
world's largest 8K race. Brian Sell, of Rochester Hills, MI,
improved upon his second-place performance in 2003, finishing
first in 23:31. Mike Farrell was the surprise runner-up and the
top Illinois finisher, clocking 23:46. Russian Tatyana Chulakh
upset 3-time defending champ Colette Liss (5th, 27:41) and
course-record holder Kathy Butler (2nd, 26:09) for her first
LaSalle Bank Shamrock Shuffle victory. Local favorite Jenny
Spangler, who used the race as a tune-up for the Olympic Trials
Marathon this weekend, finished 4th in 27:33.

RESULTS
Congratulations to Chicago's "Bravest" and "Finest" who
participated in the Subaru Celebrity Challenge this past
Saturday at the ABD Time Trials at Navy Pier.
The winning team was the Chicago Fire Department who
collectively cycled 18.87 miles in the ten minute time trial.
All bikes were provided courtesy of Trek.
Winning Team Captain, Ron Dorneker summed it up, "The real
winner is the Lance Armstrong Foundation!" They received a
check for $1,000 from Subaru.
