The Edgewater Development Corp and the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce announce Edgewater Fitness Week from May 29 to June 6. There are over 50 FREE events for all ages and skill levels---from yoga classes to food presentations, to scuba diving classes and a children's bike rodeo. The Pleasant Prairie Junior Triathlon, for kids age 7 to 23, on June 20 is part of USA Triathlon's Development Series and could reveal some future "Stars of Multisport!" For more information, check out:

SOUTH LAKE SHORE DRIVE UNDERPASSES GRAND OPENING
On May 29 the Chicago Dept of Transportation is staging the grand opening of four new underpasses in Jackson Park at 57th Dr, 59th St., 63rd St. and Marquette Dr. on May 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new underpasses provide stair-free bicycle access to the lakefront bike path from Jackson Park.

CALL FOR CERTIFIED TRAINING IN CHICAGO
The League of American Bicyclists (LAB) is conducting a League for Certified Instructors (LCI) training session this year in Green Bay, WI. The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation would like LAB to train in Chicago and wants to know if the bicycling community is interested.

ROB SADOWSKY SELECTED AS NEW CBF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation Board of Directors has selected one of its own members, Rob Sadowsky, as the new Executive Director of the organization. Rob comes to the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation from the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs (JCUA). In July, Rob will accept the reins from Randy Neufeld, who is taking on a new position as Chief Strategy Officer after 16 years as Executive Director. Top Milers Competing At Big Blue National Invitational, The Indiana Invaders will host Wild Bill's Metric Mile race at the Big Blue National Invitational, on the campus of Hillsdale College (Hillsdale, MI) June 11-12. Top milers include: Olympian Paul McMullen. For anyone that has ever fantasized of running a sub-4 minute mile, or standing atop the awards stand at the Olympic Games, this is a unique opportunity to see elite athletes.
