PARK FOREST SCENIC 10 MILE
The 28th Annual Park Forest Scenic 10 Mile Run will take place on
Monday,
September 5 at 8 a.m. in Park Forest, IL. The famous "race with the
string
quartet" will go through the forest preserves of Cook County with an
expected 16-
18 musical surprises along the way to entertain the field of nearly 2,000
runners.
There is also a 5K race and children's races. This year the invited field
of
athletes has its usual international flavor with athletes from South Korea,
Kenya,
Ukraine, Russia, Australia and several top US athletes. There is over
$20,000 in
prize money and awards available.

I just wanted to let you know that we are trying to help the hurricane
victims by
taking up monetary collections at the pre-race clinic and packet pickup
on Sunday
at Village Hall in Park Forest from 1 to 4 p.m. and again on raceday,

September 5. The American Red Cross will be there both days to take
up the
