Congratulations to everyone who raced at this past weekend's USAT Triathlon National Championship in Shreveport, LA.
(1500 Meter Swim - 40K Bike - 10K Run)

Top Illinois finishers were:
5th overall - Andrew Starykowicz, 22, Long Grove IL - 1:59:12.
15th overall - Elizabeth Attig, 26, Naperville, IL - 2:15:56.

Other notable finishers were some familiar names:
3rd overall - Michael Boehmer, 24, Madison, WI - 1:59:02.
13th overall - Briana Stott Messick, 25, Madison, WI - 2:15:36.

BICYCLING INSTRUCTION HITS CHICAGO

The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation is hosting a bicycle education seminar to certify new League Cycling Instructors in the League of American Bicyclists' BikeEd program. The seminar will take place Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26. Applicants to the seminar must have previously taken the BikeEd Road I class on August 28. CARA CIRCUIT UPDATE

Chris Wehrman, 28, 2003 CARA Male Runner of the Year, leads in the overall male standings with victories at the Ridge Run 10k (31:28), Chicago Distance Classic Half-Marathon (1:11:06), and DeKalb Cornfest 10k (31:33). He bested his half marathon time by nearly four minutes in his victory at the Chicago Half- Marathon, but didn't score any points since it is not a Circuit event. Elizabeth Engel, 29, leads the female competition and clocked 18:31 in her win at the I-Run for Autism 5K.
