LABOR DAY WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS

The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament is the big happen' event at North Avenue Beach this weekend. Some top names include: Top athletes on the men's side include 2000 Olympic Gold Medalists Eric Fonoimoana, Dain Blanton and three-time Olympic Gold Medallist Karch Kiraly. Top women's teams include Misty May & Kerri Walsh, Holly McPeak & Elaine Youngs, and Annett Davis & Jenny Johnson Jordan. This is a chance to see some of the Olympians you watched from your TV, in person!

ROAD TRIP RESULTS

Crim 10 Miler (Flint, MI)

Chicagoan Chris Toepfer, 41, was the top male master in 56:48. (Toepfer is also the race director for the October 30th South Loop Lions 8K.) Tony Iniquez of Bolingbrook, IL was an easy winner of the men's 10- mile wheelchair race in 40:06, to win $1,000. Miriam Nibley of Champaign, IL led the women wheelers in 51:13.
