Millennium Park Bicycle Station Public Meeting

A public meeting on the status of the Millennium Park
Bicycle Station will be conducted at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7
at Daley
Bicentennial Plaza, 337 E. Randolph, Chicago. Latest
design of the project will be
presented and
comments and concerns will be addressed by Chicago
Department of
Transportation staff during the meeting.
Written comments will be accepted at the meeting, by mail,
or in person at
the Department of Transportation, Bureau of Bridges and
Transit, 30 North
LaSalle Street,
Suite 500, for a period of 10 days after the meeting.
Comments may also be
received via e-mail at csimon@cityofchicago.org. The proposed project includes the design and the
construction of a new
bicycle station in Millennium Park, to provide secure indoor
bicycle parking
for the general public. The bicycle station will also provide
other
facilities such as lockers and showers, bicycle repair,
bicycle rental and a
cafe. The meeting facility is accessible for persons with
disabilities. Those
planning to attend, who need a signing interpreter or other
special
