The Niles West/Oakton Runners Club will host their 17th annual Pub Run on Saturday, December 17 at 3 p.m. The plan is to meet at Niles West High School (5701 W. Oakton in Skokie) between 2:30 and 2:55 p.m., outside the pool hallway.

The run will start from Niles west and head north on Menard to Lincoln Ave. The first of four pub stops will be at the Bringer Inn in Morton Grove (6230 N. Lincoln Ave.), followed by TrackSide (6421 Dempster), Rusty's Tavern (9005 Waukegan Rd.) and finally, Barnaby's Inn (7950 Caldwell).

Cost of the Pub Run is $25 per runner or $45 per couple (married, significant other, etc.), or $21 per runner and $40 per couple for Niles West/Oakton Runners Club members. You can pay on the day of the run in cash or by check.

The fee is quite a bargain for such a good time and includes beer, pop and/or wine at each of the pubs, and, of course, a shot of Irish Whiskey and pizza at Barnaby's.

Remember, this is a "Fun Run" and not a race!
