PUMA Expands Retail Growth with New Store on North Rush Street
April 21, 2005 From press release.
Westford, MA - After tremendous growth in 2004, PUMA
announced the latest addition in their North American retail
expansion, the opening of the 20th Concept store in the
thriving city of Chicago. The Chicago location marks
PUMA's first concept retail store in 2005. The PUMA Store
Chicago is located at 1051 North Rush Street. Introducing Chicago to PUMA's unique fusion of sports,
fashion and lifestyle, the 2,875 square foot boutique will
showcase footwear, apparel and lifestyle products as well
as sport fashion items from the Mihara collection. "The city of Chicago is legendary for their premiere
shopping experience, impact on culture, arts and music as
well as their incredible enthusiasm for sports," said Tom
Ulrich, Vice President PUMA North America Retail Division.
"Because of the city's diversity and unique fashion and
sports appeal, it made perfect sense for PUMA to make
Rush Street, one of the city's most premier shopping areas,
the location for our latest retail home. Located right around the corner from the infamous
Magnificent Mile shopping district, the PUMA Store Chicago
has a contemporary design to highlight product offerings in
a sleek, minimalist surrounding. The store's fresh white
walls are accented with the signature PUMA red and
compliment the hip, modern look and feel of the Chicago
store. The Rush Street location will mark PUMA's second
store in Illinois. In 2003, PUMA opened a 2,900 square foot
emporium in the Woodfield Shopping Center, 40 minutes
outside Chicago. Connecting with the city's strong arts scene and deep roots
to jazz and blues culture, PUMA plans to host regular
promotions and in-store events that will cater to the
interests of the city. For store information, call 312-751-8574
