RaceLogix will launch a new triathlon/adventure racing club in Evanston. The new club will feature access to Northweastern University's Norris Aquatic Center pool and coaches, open-water swim coaching, kayaking, ropes and adventure race skill training.

Race Logix will open as a triathlon/adventure race store at 1642 Maple Ave., Evanston in July, according to Linda Maller, its founder.

The club will run through race season and will have the following triathlon schedule:
*Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Swim at Northwestern University.
*Thursdays, 7-8 p.m. Running speed workout at Evanston High School track.
*Saturdays, 7-9 a.m. Swim at NU (open water, weather permitting) followed by an hour on the bike.
*Sundays, 7-9 a.m. Endurance bike followed by endurance run. Workouts will be broken into Sprint, Olympic and Half-Ironman distances.


Adventure racers have access to the workouts above, as well as:
*Saturdays, 3 p.m. Adventure race training which will include orienteering, ropes, endurance/skill sessions and mountain biking.
*Sundays, 7-9 a.m. Lake Michigan paddle. Boats and gear will be supplied.


Full club membership will also include a training plan for either sprint, Olympic or Ironman-distance tris, or adventure racing, Maller said. Members will be able to select three areas of concentration between tri swimming, road biking, running, paddling and adventure race training. Cost for the club is $250, with an extra $100 fee for the paddling option to cover summer boat rental costs.

Northwestern swim sessions are $10 each. Sunday paddling sessions are $40 each and include boat and equipment rental. Adventure race training is $10 per session. Full club membership is also available for $100 per month.
