Universal Sole is pleased to announce the 3rd annual
Resolution Run 5K on New Year's Eve---the race with the tiki
torch starting line.
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with the New Year's Costume
contest. Runners are invited to dress up in their New Year's
best or as your favorite character. The best costume wins a
free pair of Brooks Adrenaline Running Shoes. Participants
will need to stop by the Brooks Running Tent by 5:30 to
register for the costume contest. The race start time is 6
p.m.
The first 850 participants will receive a Brooks Podium Long
Sleeve technical running top, and the first 600 registered
runners will get a commemorative Caribou
Coffee-Resolution Run coffee mug.
"Last year we had 620 finishers and [we] expect 850 this
year," said Paul Peters, Universal Sole Race Director. "It's a
great way to start the New Year's Eve festivities."
This year's race is benefiting Lakeview Pantry (LVP), a
nonprofit organization committed to alleviating hunger and
poverty in the Lakeview community. "You will be
helping the needy in Lakeview, so make sure you bring a
canned food item to the race for Lakeview Pantry," said
Peters.
Post race refreshments include Goose Island beer and
soda, Lifeway Kiefer, Caribou Coffee, Naked Juice, Propel
Fitness water, Bagels, Ultima Replenisher and fruit.
REGISTRATION COST
$25 - Online and at Universal Sole until Dec. 24
$30 - At Univeral Sole from Dec 25. to Dec. 31 (2 p.m.)
$40 - Race (CASH only) from 4:30 to 5:50 p.m.
The Resolution Run 5K will start at 6 p.m. sharp.
