Register for Fleet Feet Sports Soldier Field 10 Mile and help Illinois veterans
January 31, 2007
Chicago Athlete

All the Bears fans who have dreamed of running on Soldier Field have the chance to do so on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the Fleet Feet Sports Soldier Field 10 Mile.

Online registration is now open at www.SoldierField10.com , just before the Chicago Bears play in Super Bowl XLI. Now in its fourth successful year, the 2007 race is expected to draw additional fans and spectators interested in running on the same turf as the impending Super Bowl Champions.

Over 5,000 Chicago Bears fans will run through the Bears Tunnel onto Soldier Field and enjoy a spectacular finish at the 50-yard-line. Fans will hear highlights of the Bears' 2006 NFC Championship season as they run through the tunnel and will see themselves on the Jumbotron as they cross the finish line.

Dave Zimmer of Fleet Feet Sports, the creator and organizer of the Soldier Field 10 Mile, expects the event to sell out quickly. "This is a very popular race to begin with, and now with the Chicago Bears in the Super Bowl we expect the race to sell out in record time," Zimmer says.

The proceeds from the Soldier Field 10 Mile race and 2-mile Fitness Walk benefit the Veterans Assistance Commission of Cook County and the FitMatters Program at LaRabida Children's Hospital.

For more information, contact the Fleet Feet Sports business office at info@fleetfeetchicago.com or (773) 305-3338.
