From press release

The 7th Annual Splish, Splash, Dash Open Water Swim in Lake in the Hills on June 25th has added a 5K run. Now swimmers of the 1 and or 2 mile can also decide to run a 5K after they get out of the water.

"The duathlon concept was one I always wanted to do, and this year we're able to put everything together" states Race Director Trudy Wakeman.

Distances also include a 200 and 500 yard; usually swam by age group youth swimmers but anyone is welcome to sign up.

Also new this year is drawstring backpacks for the first 250 registrants which include a water bottle, sunscreen and a hydration snack.

Registration is $20 and is now accepted on line at www.signmeupsports.com or contact the Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department at 847-960-7460.
