Nearly 1,000 runners donned their greenest running duds for the March 17 St. Paddy's Day 5K through Lincoln Park. Jeff Hojnacki, 32, won in 16:05. Celi Pietzen, 25, won the female competition in 18:43.

These runners blow off the threat of chafing and wear kilts for the race.

Kerry St. Joseph and Bob St. Joseph dress as a rainbow and leprechaun, respectively.

Michael MacKenzie, 26, finished in 23:09. Maybe it had something to do with the lucky green shoes?

Digging deep during the last leg of the 5K. Rewards and a raffle were held at a post-race party at Trinity Bar.
