The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation and EarthSave Chicago team
up with South Side vegan-friendly restaurants this summer to celebrate
conscious living through great food and historic bicycle routes.
Join the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation and EarthSave Chicago in an
adventure to three South Side eateries and the historic Pullman district
on this summer ride on July 14. Hungry cyclists will gather at 11:30
a.m. in Jackson Park for the kickoff and travel as far south as 111th
Street in Pullman with stops in Chatham and Grand Crossing for vegan
nibbles.
Registration goes live at www.biketraffic.org on April 15.
"Our members and friends demand events that exemplify their
sustainable
lifestyles," says Rob Sadowsky, executive director of the
Chicagoland Bicycle Federation. "If you enjoy food and have always
meant
to explore the Pullman museum, this is the ride for you."
The event emphasizes the ease of getting around on bicycle, while
encouraging people to eat a healthy diet at locally-owned restaurants.
Veggie Bike and Dine elevates bicycling within our culture by
celebrating bicycling's vital relationship to food, shopping,
entertainment, work, recreation and daily life.
EarthSave Chicago is a chapter of EarthSave International, which
promotes healthy food choices for people and the planet. EarthSave
educates, inspires and empowers people to shift toward a plant-based
