Veloswap Rides Into Chicago October 30th

(BOULDER, CO)---Inside Communications is pleased to announce that VeloSwap will be expanding to Chicago in addition to San Francisco and its traditional location in Denver, Colorado. Chicago VeloSwap will offer bicycling enthusiasts the opportunity to see, buy, sell and swap a wide variety of bikes, parts and accessories.

Scheduled for October 30 at the Odeum Sports & Expo Center in Villa Park from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Chicago VeloSwap will feature new and used bicycles and equipment; retailers and individual vendors; national and regional suppliers and exhibitors; local cycling clubs and teams; cycling and sports clinics; family events, cycling celebrities, and much more.

Chicago VeloSwap Special Events:

* Meet world famous cycling photographer Graham Watson and see his just-released book "The Landscapes of Cycling"

* Free "Science of Speed" training clinic with Joe Friel, author of "The Training Bible"

* Race in the CompuTrainer 10k Multi-Rider Challenge with Robbie Ventura of Vision Quest Coaching Service

Cyclists can also join Graham Watson Friday, October 29 for a special event at La Strada restaurant for private dinner and a review of the 2004 European race season. This dinner benefits the Thunderhead Alliance and their work improving cycling conditions nationwide, please call 800-811-4210 extension 222 for tickets to the benefit dinner.

Tickets for the Chicago VeloSwap are $8 at the door and children under 12 get in free. Discounted tickets are available for $6 starting September 10 at the following locations: Chicagoland Bicycle Federation, REI, Performance, Kozy's, Turin, Village CycleSport, Prairie Path Cycles, Alberto's.

Proceeds from Chicago VeloSwap will benefit local cycling advocacy organization, the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation. VeloSwap has donated over $200,000 cash to cycling advocacy since 1989.

Based on the highly successful Denver VeloSwap, the Chicago event will accommodate an estimated 275 exhibitors and vendors with a projected attendance of 5,000 cycling enthusiasts.
