Chicago Athlete is the Chicago area's premier resource for running, triathlons, cycling, swimming, cross country skiing and other active sports in Chicago and the Midwest. Our goal is to provide visitors to the site with useful and unique content they can't find anywhere else, including the most comprehensive online calendar in the Chicago area.

Chicago Athlete was founded in 1987 by Eliot Wineberg, who still publishes the magazine to this day. Chicago Athlete prides itself on being a locally owned and operated publication with a staff who regularly participates in athletic endeavors in the Chicago area.
